Through the funds raised at the Pics & Sticks event, we are  about to award two $1000 bursaries in honour of two Humboldt Broncos players tragically taken in April of 2018. Logan Hunter and Jaxon Joseph have family connections and many happy memories here in the Okanagan Valley.  We are offering the bursaries to those individuals that conduct themselves with honesty, integrity and believe everything is possible. Qualifying individuals are those who are interested in pursuing their post secondary education through a trade school, college, university or another accredited education facility, along with the ability to demonstrate the aforementioned qualities.



The applications will be accepted from March 01/20 to April 15/20.  Please use this form to submit your application outlining the following requirements:

  • Applicant must have lived in the Okanagan Valley full time for the past 2 years or longer or have been residing in the area at least 18 of the 24 months. 

  • Looking at pursuing post-secondary education or trade school

  • Preference will be given to those that demonstrate financial need

  • Open to youth and adults including those who have graduated high school within the past 5 years

  • Actively involved in sports or on a sports team

  • If selected, the recipient must provide proof of post-secondary (college, university or trades program) education acceptance, prior to receiving funds


In addition to some basic information, please use the box below to submit your application - a 500 word-essay about how sport has affected your life, include details to demonstrate the required characteristics and what your future plans are to address your post secondary education needs. Please share how you've been working to stay on track to attend your post-secondary program while being involved in sports.
